This chapter dives into Air Force Traditions in Leadership, How cadets in Civil Air Patrol engage as leaders from an early stage, and will explain how leadership is both an art and science to explore and improve over a lifetime of work!

How does your Character and the way you speak determine your success as a leader? This volume asks cadets to consider and learn about historical elements of character and how examples of good leadership traits in a person's character and the way they talk to their followers can influence their team as a whole. Cadets will be asked to consider communication, directly and indirectly, using critical thinking skills.
Learn-To-Lead Activities
Learn-to-Lead activities may include interesting tabletop or live-action work personally or with a group! These are short lessons and activities designed by National Headquarters, CAP Wings, or cadets from our own squadron! Each lesson and activity uses information learned from a chapter and/or volume of the Learn-to-Lead textbooks and applies it to real use. These lessons help reinforce information and build an understanding of real-world applications of leadership knowledge and traits!
